Local attractions include the amazing Kelpies (mythical water horses). The Falkirk wheel. The house of Binns and Hopetown house. A ten minutes drive takes you to the town of Bo'ness with its Steam Railway.
Twenty minutes takes you to South Queensferry with the Forth rail and road bridges, there are great bars and restaurants and superb bridge views. The Forth and Clyde canal which runs through Linlithgow offers great walks or cycle rides on well maintained town paths.
The five sisters zoo offers close up views of all sorts of animals including bears and the new addition of rescue lions. Not to mention Edinburgh zoo with the giant pandas.
